The Bible Project

My birthday gift that I requested from my friends and family this year was funds to buy Bibles and cases for the college students sponsored by Huruma Dolor. My wishes and prayers were blown away by nearly $1,900 coming in! Not only was I able to purchase Bibles and cases for the college students, but also give each of them some money to go eat chicken and to have some extra spending money. (Chicken is an extremely specialty food there.)

After I had set all that money aside, I realized I still had a substantial balance left. I bought Bibles for all of the secondary orphans and pay for a years worth of sponsorship for a young Kenya girl, Linel Claire Omari. I was also able to purchase a Bible and case for the director at the orphanage who has become like family, Mjomba (Uncle) Peter Akweyona. I will be able to give that to him on his birthday on our next trip there in August!

I couldn’t have asked for any better birthday gift! They showed so much appreciation and I am so thankful that my brothers and sister in Kenya now have the word of God in their hands.
