Interceding for Sri Lanka

The Christian community in Sri Lanka has faced persecution and discrimination for many years, and the recent attacks in the past years have only amplified their struggles. As followers of Christ, it’s our responsibility to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka during their difficult time.

One of the most powerful ways we can support them is through prayer. Here are a few specific ways we can pray for the Christians in Sri Lanka:

1. Pray for comfort and healing for those who have lost loved ones in the attacks of 2019. May God’s peace and presence surround them as they continue to grieve.

2. Pray for strength and courage for the Christian community in Sri Lanka. Pray that they will not be overcome by fear, but that they will continue to stand firm in their faith despite the persecution they face.

3. Pray for the protection of churches and Christian gatherings in Sri Lanka. Pray that God would thwart any further plans of violence and that He would surround these places with His angels.

4. Pray for the perpetrators of these attacks. Pray that their hearts would be softened and that they would come to know the love and forgiveness of Christ.

In times of darkness and despair, our prayers can serve as a powerful force for good. Let’s continue to lift up our brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka in prayer, and may they feel the love and support of the global Christian community during this difficult time.
