He Will Perform It

Life brings its share of hardships and trials. Some in our control and others not. Whether it be a difficult decision, an illness, a financial strain, any of the innumerable things, we have to learn to trust. We have to make sure we are following God’s will and His instruction, and then we trust. It is something way easier said than done.

Trust: to believe that someone is good and honest and will not harm you, or that someone is safe and reliable -Cambridge English Dictionary

Trusting God’s plan means believing that because God is good and honest, His plan is best. In Jeremiah it says that His thoughts of us are of peace and not of evil, to give us an expected end. He knows what He is doing. When all we see is are the ashes, when we pray and all we can ask is why, He has a plan and He will bring the beauty.

Last night, I was struggling with some things and I opened up the Bible, and God gave me the verse He knew I needed. Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” If it is God who has brought these trials or hardships, we can not just know, we can be confident that He will complete His good work in us, and in every trial and situation that we face.

My prayer is that God will help me to believe and trust that He will complete the good work that He has begun. He won’t just leave us questioning and wondering. He has a plan and His thoughts are of peace. God loves you. God cares about every thing, big or small, that you are facing. You, my friend, are not alone.

God bless you…. and remember, He will perform it.
