I’ve often heard people say that tears are prayers too, and I believe this to be true. There have been moments when I’ve wept, my eyes heavy with sorrow, unable to summon words to speak. Yet there are other times when the tears refuse to fall, and my heart aches too deeply for even a single tear. My mind races, a thousand thoughts whirl in frantic motion, yet silence remains my only companion.
In those quiet still moments, I’ve come to realize that God hears even the unspoken. He listens to the unvoiced prayers that rise from the depths of our hearts and minds. Sometimes, the blankness in our gaze, the aching stillness of our soul, becomes a prayer only He can understand. And when we lie awake at night, burdened and restless, tossing and turning, unable to find peace, even in our weariness, He hears us.
Even when no words escape our lips, He knows. He hears you, even in the silence.
