Just Behind the Clouds

I’m thankful for a good day that God gave me. I woke up to many texts from people praying for me. They mean a lot to me. This morning, Joshua brought me another two liters of goat’s milk which I have been thoroughly enjoying! We left the compound about an hour after we were supposed to, because dad was talking with some people at the compound.

When we arrived at the storage hall, the had fried eggs, boiled eggs, chai, cake, and chapati. I had goat’s milk! Haha! They loaded the truck and we took Joshua and Bro. Haroon with us. When we got there, there were people ready to throw flowers on us and put leis around our necks. Bro. Shazad took one of his off and gave it to me. When we sat down, Karissa took hers off and gave it to me too. So, I ended up having three leis around my neck, and I had to sing a special like that!!!

After the service, I helped prepare for the children’s distribution and then I took pictures and videos on mom’s phone. I helped get the family stations prepared and guided families to there places. After the first round, mom and dad told me to sit down. Following distribution, they gave us five bouquets of flowers as hospitality.

We went to the storage hall and on the way, we shared testimonies with Bro. Shahzad’s children. We didn’t get finished, but it will be continued. Once we arrived, they took a look at inventory. They brought dinner from Danish’s mom, Bro. Shahzad’s sister. While Mom, Dad, Karissa, Trenton, and Joelan ate their dinner, I sat in the corner eating a banana. Lol. We went down the road to buy a raw chicken to cook for me later.

On the way back to David Villa, we had a couple stops to make. At the beginning, I had a small attack, but I’m thankful it did not escalate. We first stopped at a shoe store because Karissa wanted tennis shoes. Trenton and I also got a pair. I paid a full $12 for my shoes! We then went to Catch Up, a supermarket, I bought some things. I bought a dubataa, a head wrap, a dress, and the others also bought some things. We went down stairs to the grocery section and I got nonfibrous vegetables to cook up and a papaya.

When we got back to David Villa, our driver’s nephew brought me some chicken broth with a whole chicken and some vegetables. When I had some, I said it tasted like grandma’s house. 🙂 I was so happy to have some food. I cooked up the vegetables I had bought, and even though I could only have a few bites, it was so delicious! After eating just a little bit, my stomach starting getting worse, but thank God, I didn’t go into an attack. God is faithful, and he is good. No matter if this was just one good day, or the beginning of a definite change, I was thankful to see the sun peak out just behind the clouds. Thank you for all of your prayers once again!
