Days will come when we question what is going on. The world is spinning around me, but I feel as though I am stagnant amidst the flowing waters around me. The dark nights continue to pass me by. I then am reminded: Jesus didn’t spare Daniel from the lions’ den, He spared him in it. This is just a chapter of the book, not the whole story.
So wherever you are, whatever storms you are facing, Jesus is with you. Even when the storms around don’t seem to calm, Jesus is in the boat. He understands the pain you are experiencing and He sees you. You are not alone in your fight. As hard as it might be, lift up your weary eyes and look up to where your help comes from. One day, you’ll hear a voice above your lions’ den and it will be your time to climb out of your pit.
But until then, there are flowers growing in the valley. Don’t doubt the season that God has placed you in, and keep holding on. Keep the faith, and wait for your rope to be thrown down, so you can climb up.
