In Your Arms

As we journey through the mountains and valleys of life, things can weigh down on us. In the difficult seasons, may we never forget that Jesus will carry us and we can rest in His arms. We can lean on Jesus and trust His plan for us, even though we may not understand why things are going the way they are. We can always rely on His promises, because He will never fail us. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

The following is one of the songs that I have been listening to on repeat when the storms of life seem like they are drowning me.

When the sea is raging, and waves come crashing round

When my heart is heavy, and I’m swiftly going down

Help me to remember, however rough the sea

That underneath the current, your arms are holding me

In your arms you cradle me, and make me feel secure

In your arms you’re showing me your mercy will endure

In your arms you’re lifting me above the troubled sea

I’ll be safe because I know your arms are holding me

When the storm has ceased her raging, the sun will still remain

So until the shadows vanish, your power will sustain

For it’s there that I find refuge, where I’ll be safe from harm

No storm can overtake me in the shelter of your arms

In Your Arms by Doyle Lawson

God bless you!

These are beautiful and timely comments! I’m not familiar with this song, but I love the part that says”… that underneath the current your arms are holding me…” Truly Emmanuel is with us, the Lord hears us, and Jehovah El Roi sees us! Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️🙏🏽
