The other night was worse than normal. Unlike a normal night, I wasn’t able to rest with the lights off. The pain was raging and I could not relax, so I studied the book of Haggai. God inspired me with the following thoughts and met me in prayer in the early hours of the morning.
Just as a tree grows its roots beneath the ground, that no one can see, God is growing the roots of His plan that was formed before the world. He had set His love on YOU; to rescue and redeem you and to enable you to live a beautiful and joyous life and share Jesus with others. This is how our God works. He works while you wait. Waiting is not easy. Sometimes it’s quiet waiting and other times it’s so hectic that you don’t even know what is going on and it’s just confusion. He works when from the surface, nothing seems to be happening. He works deep below the soil of our lives, to bring about every promise. Sometimes it hurts, but remember, it’s to fulfill promises to make our lives better. We are compelled to trust Him with our lives. We walk forward by trusting and obeying. We may not see the harvest just yet, but He is working and growing things deep beneath the soil. And through it all, we trust His sovereign hand. And we have to remember that for His perfect plan to come to pass, we have to be in His will and obey what He asks of us. It’s not to restrict us. It gives us freedom and a better life than we could ask for. And when troubles come, (they will, because we live in a sin-filled world) He will be with us. He will hold our hand at times, and carry us other times. Ultimately, He IS working deep in the soil. The harvest is coming.
I would greatly appreciate y’alls continued prayers. Life is not easy for me these days. Praying to see the harvest soon, and trusting Him in the waiting. I am praying for you all as well. God bless.
