In the Fire and the Flood

Some days, life feels like fire.
Other days, it feels like the sea—too wide, too deep, and too wild to cross.

We all face moments that feel too heavy to carry. Pain that doesn’t have words. Loneliness that echoes in a crowded room. Questions that don’t have answers. And in those moments, the enemy loves to whisper, “You’re alone.”

But that’s not the voice of truth.

The truth is—there is Another in the fire with you.
The same God who stood with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in a blazing furnace is the One who stands with you now. He didn’t remove the fire, but He entered it with them. Not a single hair was singed, not because the fire wasn’t hot, but because His presence was stronger.

And when the road ahead feels like a sea you’ll never cross, remember He is still the God who parts waters.

He’s not intimidated by impossibilities.
He doesn’t flinch at storms.
He doesn’t ask you to build the bridge or carry the boat.
He just says, “Be still. I will make a way.”

Sometimes the way is through. Sometimes it’s around. And sometimes it’s in the waiting, when everything is still, and you realize He’s been weeping with you all along.

Yes, He weeps with you.
Not out of helplessness, but out of love. Out of understanding. Jesus knows what it is to feel grief, to lose friends, to be misunderstood, to be exhausted and pressed on every side. He knows, and He stays.

You’re not walking through the fire alone.
You’re not drowning in the sea without a rescue.
You are seen. You are loved. And you are held by the One who never lets go.

So if today feels like too much—pause.
And know that even now…
There is Another in the fire.
And He is enough.
