My health has been up and down, and doors have opened and closed. But looking back now, I can clearly see God’s hand in all of it. Even in the uncertainty, He was steady. He’s given me real hope for my future, and 2026 feels bright. Full of answered prayers and dreams I have prayed for for five years.
As the year came to an end, I reflected on 2025 month by month. Through every season, God has been my constant. These past few months especially changed me. October through December have truly been the best months of my life. God showed me the community I already have right here at home with the youth in my congregation, and that I don’t have to wait until camp meeting to do life with people. He’s been building something real and beautiful right where I am.
He also blessed me with two trips to Africa, which is still beyond comprehension. Some parts of the year were hard, but God used every bit of it for good and brought me to where I am today. I have community, a job in the childcare field, a family in Kenya, and a peace that truly passes understanding.
So today, as I bake a meal for game night to spend time with friends tonight, I’m just thankful. Thankful for what God has already done and expectant for what He’s going to do next. God is so good.
